Smells like fall...

So the weather is dropping and the rain has come and despite how much I love the sunshine I love this kind of weather too. There is nothing better than wrapping yourself in a chunky oversized sweater and drinking a cup of tea while the rain's falling outside. To make matters even better trend reports for Fall 2011 are singing the praises of oversized sweaters so you will not only be comfortable but right on trend. Pair it with a maxi skirt or skinny jeans and boots and you're ready to go.

Clockwise from top left:

the best from outside lands

A weekend in san fran full of food, friends, fashion, music, beer and a laser light show...who could ask for more?

Here are a few of my favorite shots from the three day festivities...

Loving the chunky sweaters and the cape-lets paired with knee high boots to keep out the cool san Francisco night air.

Feathers=Happiness

My foot wear of choice, my moccasins

Leather fringe bag from the sawdust festival that I am currently infatuated with and my DIY flower headband.

Crazy hippy couple who are not afraid of color!

I don't really know what this area of the festival was but who cares, swings and kites and this crazy wooden fort, it's a dream land.

Day two headwear of choice: Lace and feather headpiece from an awesome lady at the fairfax flea market.

Spirit hoods were everywhere, every way you turned fuzzy animals were running around.

One of the more interesting get ups of the weekend although far from the most bizarre.

Hipster love.

Many many chiffon skirts paired with chunky knit sweaters. Perfect combo.

Sunset at the ranch= perfect way to relax after all the madness.

An unpredictable pictoral pastiche whose aim is to inspire and instigate a smile...

So between work, school, writing, and play time I have been seriously lagging in online time so as sort of a reintroduction to blog life here are some images to get the creative juices flowing...there is no real rhyme or reason, no connecting thread other than the pure fact that they make me happy...

Wish this was my backyard...

Best nursery ever...Half Moon Bay

Light Bulb vases....item #3,005 on my things to make list

"Cause I'm free as a bird now, and this bird you can not change"

This Monday Ali and I took a little Trek into the canyon in search of some light and possibly a field...both of which we found. Battling thorny flowers, lots of crawly insects and wind we found the most amazing tree and a slew of wildflowers.
